The wikiProject LGBT's main goal is to get all LGBT associated articles
fixed to perfection. While many of these articles are very well
written, some are lacking in content and have questionable
accuracy; that's where the LGBT project team comes in!
Many people are contributing to wikiHow through articles on
the vast and complex subjects covered by LGBT; we can do so
much to help improve the standards, and of course, create new
ones!
These are a few articles to be focusing on:
- Tell Someone You Are Bisexual
- Meet Other Lesbians
- Get a Lesbian Girlfriend
- Discuss Your Lesbian or Bisexual Interest in a Friend
- Get a Lesbian Friend (Straight Guys)
If you would like to help out, please contact one of the leaders, and we will add you to the list of Members! Thank you in advance for your dedication.
You can show your pride in the wikiProject LGBT by showing our User Info Box - just type in {{User LGBTP}} in your userpage. Typing that would make:|

Dedicated to reviving sub-standard LGBT Articles
The wikiProject LGBT's main goal is to get all LGBT associated
articles fixed to perfection. While many of these articles are very
well written, some are lacking in content and have questionable
accuracy; that's where the LGBT project team comes in!
Many people are contributing to wikiHow through articles on the
vast and complex subjects covered by LGBT; we can do so much to help improve
the standards, and of course, create new ones!
If you would like to help out, take a look at the project page, and decide if the project is for you. If you decide to join, we will add you to the list of Members! Thank you in advance for your dedication.
You can help out as much or as little as you wish - wherever it needs attention. This generally includes the below:
- Formatting
- More pictures
- Copyediting
- Clarity in steps
- Accuracy
- A better summary
- More steps/tips/warnings/related articles
- Wikifying and cleaning up
Thank you for your help, and thank you again in advance for your dedication!
Of course, anyone can edit wikiHow - but, if you see an article that you feel really needs a lot of work, then the members will pull together and get the job done! If you would like to nominate an article for the project, simply post here. Members may also place the {{LGBT}} template at the top of the discussion page of any article to let others know of new nominees.
Another way that the project works is to write the articles that the readers out there wish to see here on wikiHow. You can do this by requesting an article for the relationships categories. One minor way that the project works is to try to remove any heteronormativity from any wikihow page.
They will check out the article, then if necessary put the {{LGBT}} template at the top of its discussion page and get back to you.
One of our Members will edit the page wherever it needs attention. This generally includes the below:
- Formatting
- More pictures
- Copyediting
- Clarity in steps
- Accuracy
- A better summary
- More steps/tips/warnings/related articles
- Wikifying and cleaning up
On the top of the article, they'll post one of the wikiHow templates explaining what the article needs, such as pictures, more steps, or clarity in writing.
After an article has been edited quite a bit, it will be sent to one of the members of the Copy-editing Team.
Then, all the contributors can sit back, relax, and know that they have saved yet another LGBT article from deletion! Well Done! The article will then have the {{LGBTdone}} template posted on its discussion page.
If you wish, you can thank an author for their hard work by posting
{{wikiHow:LGBT/thanks}} on their talk
page:
