Some people may think writing in a diary everyday of the year is too hard or boring, but with these steps you can make it interesting!
[edit] Steps
- Buy a diary with a reasonable amount of pages. Some days may be more interesting than others, so one day can take up to 10 pages if explaining in detail.
- Make sure you keep up to date when writing a diary. For some people it is incredibly hard to stay on top of writing a diary for everyday of a year, but this is possible is you write at the end of the day or at the time when an event happens
- Start writing about events or your dreams, worries or homework, even writing mini-stories can be a joy to read. Try to use interesting vocabulary to attract the reader - that is, if you want a reader!
[edit] Tips
- Add details. Don't just say, "Today I saw a show. It was cool." Did the singer do a backflip? Add that in your diary! Looking back, you'll be glad you added those extra details.
- Don't think that you need to write every detail. This will make your diary boring, instead try for the interesting parts. e.g don't write what time you woke up.
- Stay up to date. This is hard but its really important so that your memory of the day is still fresh. If you can't write everyday write notes on each day which will help jog your memory.
- Add some history about the place you went to. This often makes the diary much more worth having and interesting.
- If you really don't have what to write about, glue some pictures (of you, your favorite actor/actress, your dog...anything!) or write the lyrics of the best song you listened to that day.
- Write about anything, even the most boring things on earth. If you write about something boring but you make it interesting, this will prove that you can defintitely write.
[edit] Warnings
- Make sure you keep your diary in a safe place. You don't want anyone sneaking a peek at it, but you don't want to lose it either. Keep your diary in a place you'll remember.
