Great work on Protest in School Without Getting Into Trouble. I renamed it to Protest in School because a how-to is supposed to tell the method that doesn't get you in trouble - it goes without saying. You wrote the article quite well.

I am sorry that happened, it sometimes does. but usually the other way around when title are changed, there person changing the title get there name as author. There is no way to change it back, sorry

Out of common courtesy you should notify the editor who placed the tag you believe is a mistake, and allow them to pull it. The other option is to vote against and tell why. In general we don't pull other peoples NFD tags.

No one is allowed to remove a nfd tag. There is no thing as a title battle. Others will remove it if it is deemed right to be removed.

If you read the "article"... It appears that's all there is. If it were an introduction of some sort, a beginning of an article, an explanation why there was not more, then that would do fine. It isn't, though. The one sentence provided will not do for an article, and I'm not going to pretend it will. Instances where people write in little bits like that happen all the time- if the author wishes to get back to it, they have seven days to do so. If they, themselves, provide any reasoning they intend to get back to the article, I will happily remove the NFD and have absolutely best wishes for the article.

Hi. Thanks for the info. The other article was created in April 2007 and was recently re-titled (yesterday) as per a suggested title change. I'm assuming you have both covered the same topic. You could use Do-a-Quick-and-Dirty-Merge-of-wikiHow-Articles to merge that article into yours. Is your title accurate? We could re-title when you are finished. To give you time to think about this I will add an In Use tag to your article to hold any merging done by others.

Ah, more thoughts. You are saying these are distinct articles, and the older article is innacurately titled? This is easily remedied, what would you recommend as a title for it?

To keep your attribution as the orignal author we will need to do things a bit manually now. Don't panic about the NFD tag. Just post your reasons for keeping the article(s) on the discussion page(s) and that will be enough to save them when they get reviewed in a week or so.

I only came to notice the articles when I was going down the list of articles which needed title changes. When I tried to change the title of one, the website told me that the proposed title already existed... and would I like to delete it to make way for the one I was renaming? I clicked no and returned to the article to change the title tag to an NFD for duplicate based on that information.

I'll post this issue in the Tech Feedback area of the forum... Jack and Travis need to know about this.

Hey! I saw that you article on how to Be a National Delegate (USA) was nominated for featuring. I tried to help by adding some information based on some sources I found online, but I wanted to check some things with you. The types of delegates--are they the same for both parties? And the precinct convention--does it take place right after the primary election in both parties, in all states? Or is that info specific to the Texas Republican party? It'd be great if we could add more details from sources--that tends to increase the article's chances of getting chosen for featuring. Let me know what you think!

Also, I saw on this talk page that you might be having issues with duplicates and titles. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help!

The information on the types of delegates, I got from the democratic convention website: http://www.demconvention.com/how-to-become-a-delegate/ If they do not use "add on" delegates, why would they list them on their site?

I deliberately added one piece of information from the Democratic source, and one piece of information from the Republican source, so it wouldn't look like I was trying to push the article in any one direction. From your note, it sounds like you wrote the article primarily for Democratic delegates--if so, should we change the title?

Either way, it's obvious that the topic is way more complicated than I thought! Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this!

When an article is NFD for duplicate, a note on the Discussion page is sufficient to list the matching article -- it does not have to be in the NFD tag itself. Since you have to go to the Discussion page to vote anyway, it isn't even an extra click.

Yes, it's difficult to convey the fingers touching a flat surface if you take the pictures from above the hands. Another way to do it would be to circle the fingers that are touching the flat surface. The images of the fully extended hands can be copied, have the correct fingers circled, and uploaded to replace the existing pictures for that number. Would this be worth doing?

Hi. I see you're doing some NABing for us. Thank you, but please keep in mind that new writers here generally can't be expected to know the formatting rules. I think you might be better off formatting a poor but salvageable article and asking people to look at the example, rather than just leaving a note to ask someone to figure it out for themselves.

yea, I think "How to Punch Harder" sounds much better. i had some writers block on the title and couldn't find anything else to use.

I suggested a title for the "How to Be Popular in the 7th and 8th Grade",

it has been "changed to" Plan to Be Popular in School;

Added a subsection which I called "How it works to be popular" like:

= be friends with people who are available;

= remember names, write them down;

= make people feel that you are sincere;

= don't promise to much; do what you said;

= make people believe that they are "it" or the only one in the room;

= don't be a gofer, or yes-man, etc.

Hello, I would like to report a user. His IP is 88.68.244.159. He has recently gone through several articles and replaced several words with extremely inappropriate words and vulgar language. This user is destroying articles and replacing them with horrid content. He even created an article call how to "f[Bad Word I Do Not Want to Type] yo momma". I nominated this for speedy deletion, but there isn't an administrator to delete it. If you have any power to do so, please ban his ip and save us the headache of fixing everything.
