Richie, While eating food before drinking is a good idea, it does not "help to absorb" alcohol. It actually slows gastric emptying time, which delays alcohol entering the duodenum where it is primarily absorbed. Hangovers are caused by the metabolism of ethanol to acetaldehyde by alcohol dehydrogenase. Your tips are nice, but preventing a hangover is accomplished by slowing your drinking consumption, not by "drinking water". Just some tips......
