Sexism and Politics
When was the last time a male political candidate, with a family, was asked how was he going to govern while caring for his children? I don't think this question has ever been asked of a male politician, yet Sarah Palin, was asked just that by liberals. I thought the age of equality for both men and women had finally arrived, but with questions about Palin's ability to govern while having a family seems to have proven that sexism still exists.
Also, how many male candidates have been described as shrill when delivering a speech or described as walking like a beauty queen? Not many I suspect.
How do we combat sexism in politics? Vote for John McCain who was willing to select the first female vice presidential candidate. The Republican party was founded on individual rights, the promotion of racial equality, and smaller government. Now they can claim to have battled sexism after nominating and accepting Sarah Palin as the Republican vice presidential candidate.
On Election Day remember who ended sexism in politics: John McCain. Do your part to battle sexism and vote for the McCain-Palin ticket.
My vote is for John McCain. He is the candidate with the needed military and political experience to serve as president. McCain has experienced war, after being captured and held in a Vietnam prison; so he fully understands the price of freedom. McCain has also served as an outstanding US Senator from Arizona. On Election Day my vote will be for McCain. Visit John McCain's campaign web site for more information: [1] or [2]. For more information about Senator McCain read Wikipedia's article [3].
I truly believe in Theodore Roosevelt's view of keeping the US free. My memory recalls that he said something like "walk softly and carry a big stick". McCain seems to be echoing similar thoughts as he seems to have taken a strong stance on how precious freedom is and how it should be protected. Another reason for why I am voting for McCain. These are my personal opinions but once again I encourage any voter to vote for Senator John McCain. I truly think he will do a fine job as president of the United States.
Here's a campaign humor link for all parties involved: [4]
It isn't how many houses you have --- it is knowing that you will
have a safe house to live in --- and Republican senator and
presumed presidential candidate John McCain has the military and
political experience to guarantee America's homes will remain safe.
McCain has served in both in Congress and the Senate since the
early 1980s and as president can offer the political experience
Barack Obama lacks. Obama has served in the US Senate since January
2005. Barely three years of service on the federal level as
compared to McCain's almost 30 years of service on the federal
level.
McCain also brings to the table a wealth of military experience
after graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 1958.
McCain went onto to survive the accidental firing of a Zuni rocket
aboard the USS Forrestal. After surviving the Forrestal incident,
McCain continued to fly over Vietnam before his capture and five
year imprisonment at the Hanoi Hilton.
While this is a brief letter, be assured it speaks of McCain's
military and political experience which will insure that we all
will live safely within our borders while facing Russian threats,
and potential return to the Cold War. It was McCain who urged the
US to take a strong stance concerning Russia's recent invasion of
Georgia while Obama first urged a peaceful resolution to the
conflict.
McCain has both the military and political experience to keep us
safe. Obama does not.
