I live in a small town in Oregon, where I try to spend as much time as possible enjoying this amazing part of the country. When I'm not aspiring to become a farmer or in the process of moving (I seem to do a lot of that) I'm at the computer, scouring the Internet for opportunities to learn, discuss, and contribute.

In 2004 I met Jack, the founder of wikiHow, before wikiHow was up and running. At the time, he needed someone to screen eHow's backlog of user-submitted tips, and I needed a job while I was paying my own way through college. When eHow was sold and wikiHow remained, there was still work to be done that'd be too much to ask of the volunteers who make this project possible, and so my role came into play as a paid editor for wikiHow. I get called on for tasks that have strict deadlines or other criteria that Jack doesn't want to strap down community members with, but if you want to get involved with these tasks, just ask. My contributions are no more valued than anyone else's; they're just on a schedule, to which I'm held accountable. Feel free to revert and completely change my edits just as you would any other editor here. I try to do my best, but just like everyone here, I'm not perfect. Not a day goes by when I'm not humbled, awed, and taught by another member of the wikiHow community, and that's exactly how I like it.

Occasionally, I write articles for wikiHow on my own spare time, just for fun, and I also practice my social networking skills on Facebook.
