How to Start Barefoot Hiking

Have you ever wanted to try (hiking) barefoot? Here's how.

[edit] Steps

  1. Try walking around your yard and neighborhood barefoot. Familiarize yourself with the new sensations. Don't try to begin barefooting fast, take a week or two to build up your sole's strength.
  2. When you begin barefooting, be careful. Don't constantly stare at the ground, but make sure that you are not stepping on anything bad.
  3. Go everywhere barefoot. Don't put on your shoes to go to the store. You may get some stares, but you are not breaking any laws, unless food is sold to the public in that estabishment. It is against the law!
  4. On your first barefoot hike, leave your shoes in the car or at home. Avoid gravel.
  5. Once you are an established barefooter, give your shoes away to someone who needs them. Congratulations, you're free!
