Send the message. When your fax is delivered, you will receive a confirmation message.

[edit] Tips

  • If you haven't signed up for scanR, you will receive an activation code to set up an account. Follow the instructions to complete sign-up.
  • Fax quality is dependent on the quality of your camera. scanR requires a minimum of 1.3 megapixel images.
  • For best results, put the document on a table and hold the camera directly over the page. The viewer should be filled with the complete page and the camera should be perpendicular to the table.
  • You can send a digital copy of the document in PDF also. Just follow the same steps, but enter an email address in the subject or body, rather than the fax number.

[edit] Warnings

  • Some camera phones have enough resolution but take poor quality pictures. For example, the Motorola V710. If you're using a camera phone, test it first: just send a picture of a document to doc@scanR.com, complete sign-up and you will receive a PDF file in your email inbox.
  • Some organizations might frown on sharing document content with third parties such as scanR.com. Be mindful of any privacy/confidentiality rules in your organization.
