How to Remove Dog Hairs from Stair Carpet
An easy method for removing all pet hair from a stair carpet using rubber gloves and a bucket of water.
[edit] Steps
- Place gloves on hands and wet them in water.
- Rub carpet with wet gloved hands and roll dog hair into lumps.
- Pick up lumps of hair and rinse hands in bucket.
- Repeat until stairs are clean.
- Vacuum remainder once dry.
[edit] Tips
- Empty the bucket after every half dozen or so stairs and replace with clean water, as you will eventually start picking hair back out.
- The most efficient way to extract the hair is to use the flat part of your hand, placing your hand on the far side of that stair and bringing it towards you.
- A square 'supermop' type bucket is the best because it sits on a stair safer.
