How to Make a Stuffed Animal Your Companion
Do you want a pet, but parents won't let you? Are you bored out of your mind? Is that pet rock just not the right companion for you? Then why not try a stuffed animal? They can give you the joys of a pet with out the mess.
[edit] Steps
- Choose the stuffed animal that will be your companion. Decide what size of stuffed animal you want. If you travel a lot, a smaller one that you can fit into a bag would be best. If you stay home most of the time you can choose a larger one.
- If you have a favorite animal, choose the stuffed animal version of that.
- If you're on vacation you can find a stuffed animal that also serves as a souvenir.
- Build-a-Bear is a fun option, but it can be a little expensive.
- Give it a name. Sure you can name it "Teddy" or "Fluffy," but why not think of something more creative?
- Think about what the real animal does, eats, where it lives.
- Don't go with the obvious. For example, if you have a toy Tiger, "Stripes" is not necessarily the best name.
- Make a home for your animal. If it's a larger toy, then it can just live on your bed.
- Make or buy clothes for your new companion.
- Take your stuffed animal with you. You don't have to take it everywhere, but if you think you will be bored where you're going, be sure to bring your companion along.
[edit] Tips
- This stuffed animal will be what keeps you company when you're bored, so choose one that you will like.
[edit] Warnings
- You shouldn't bring your companion to school. Even if you have recess, you could drop it and it could become dirty, or you could lose it.
- Also, use caution when you bring your companion in airport, zoo, or any other big area, they could get lost.
