How to Make a Dog Famous Within a Week

Ever wanted to be famous? It might not be in the cards for you, but your dog might have what it takes.

[edit] Steps

  1. Brand your dog. Create an email address, a web site, a myspace page, etc. Create a color scheme for the dog. In order to make your dog famous, he must be able to connect with someone, and this will only be possible if he can own a feeling to connect with.

  2. Tell everyone you know, to tell everyone they know. Or better yet, don't tell them. Put your dog in a situation (not necessarily life or death) and tell a story, through the website, blog, email. Do it anonymously through the pen name of the dog, using your databases (email, etc.).
  3. Create a viral or guerrilla campaign. Make fliers, post them anywhere. Make a stencil and graffiti sidewalks or streets (careful of private property). Take a projector and project an image from a laptop, out of your car on sides of buildings. Put an image of the dog on your car and include the web address.

[edit] Tips

  • When creating guerrilla advertising, fliers, etc., don't give everything away. Keep the audience wondering a bit. Share only half-truths.
  • Use a counter on sites to keep track of hits.

[edit] Warnings

  • Be careful of private property.
  • Watch the situation you may pose the dog, many Americans tend to overreact and take things to extremes without any real solid knowledge-base.
