How to Make Two Books Inseparable

If you want to make some money by winning a bet, or just piss your teacher off, this article is for you. The following article is a way to make it so when you put two books together and you try to pull them apart they become impossible to separate.

[edit] Steps

  1. Get two books around the same size. Put one of the back covers on top of the other.
  2. Shuffle the pages together (it doesn't need to be anywhere near perfect). If you cant do this than just put 10 or so pages (less if its a small book, more if its a dictionary or a textbook) from one book on top of ten pages from the other book.
  3. Repeat step two until all the pages are shuffled together, and pull each end of the book to make sure the books cannot be separated.
  4. Go up to a friend and say "I bet you $5 you can't pull these 2 books apart" If your friend thinks he's all macho then he'll fall for it and you'll get some money
  5. To release the two books, just release tension and pull on the two ends very slightly and they should come out no problem.

[edit] Tips

  • the more the two books are shuffled together, the better the trick works.
  • Soft cover books work the best.

[edit] Warnings

  • Don't use expensive books, because the pages may get bent
  • When doing the trick to someone, don't give it away by showing them what you did, or trying to pull them apart yourself

[edit] Things You'll Need

  • A book
  • Another book
  • Your hands
  • Shuffling skills (preferred but not needed)
  • A friend
