How to Make Ritz Halloween Cookies
Are you looking for a Halloween cookie recipe that is low in budget and fun at the same time? With a little adult supervision, this recipe is great for kids that want to have fun with goodies.
[edit] Ingredients
- 1 (12-ounce) bag white chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening or oil
- Ritz crackers
- Creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- Orange candy sprinkles
[edit] Steps
- Use a small saucepan to melt the chocolate in.
- Create Ritz sandwiches by taking two Ritz crackers and putting peanut butter in the middle (like an Oreo cookie).
- Dip as much of the Ritz sandwich into the chocolate. Be careful as the chocolate is still hot, so kids might want to dip 1/4 or less of it in.
- Place each chocolate covered sandwich onto wax paper or cooling tray and sprinkle them with the orange sprinkles. Place the cookies aside, so that the chocolate can cool down.
[edit] Tips
- Try mixing in orange food coloring into the melted chocolate pot and substitute the color sprinkles to green.
- Double decker your Ritz sandwiches by adding another layer of peanut butter and an additional Ritz cracker.
