How to Make Raitha

Raitha is a blend of yogurt, masala( blends of spices and curry powder), and the best part, fried chickpeas, boondi. Here's an article with a delicious recipe on how to make raitha.

  • Fried chickpeas
  • Plain Yogurt
  • Raitha Masala
  • Water (optional)

  1. Get at least a cup of plain yogurt.
  2. Use a fork or a whisk. Stir the yogurt until it becomes creamy. if it is too thick, add a tablespoon of water. Stir the yogurt again.
  3. Add cucumbers, peppers, onions, anything you'd like.
  4. Add two teaspoons of Raitha Masala, you can finds some in Indian Stores. (Yes, there are some in America).
  5. Add boondi. (Also in Indian Stores)
  6. Enjoy. Serve it with something as a side.


[edit] Tips

  • Stirring it with your hand is best for beginners because blending it with a blender might make the yogurt too watery.
  • If you feel like getting fancy then, try filling hollowed bell peppers.
