How to Make Bisquick Mix Pancakes

This is an easy recipe to make delicious pancakes that can be eaten with or without syrup.

[edit] Ingredients

  • 2 cups Original Bisquick® mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • colored sprinkles (optional)

[edit] Steps

  1. Heat griddle or skillet over medium-high heat or electric griddle to 375°F; grease with cooking spray or shortening. (You know it's hot enough when a few drops of water sprinkled on it dance and disappear.)
  2. Whisk or stir together: 2 cups Original Bisquick® mix, 1 cup milk, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract until blended. Then stir in 1/4 cup colored sprinkles. Pour by slightly less than 1/4 cupfuls onto hot griddle.
  3. Cook until edges are dry and bubbles form on the top. Flip them over; cook until golden.
  4. Note: If you like thin pancakes, use 1 1/2 cups milk.

[edit] Tips

  • If you are cooking pancakes for multiple people and want to keep the cooked pancakes warm while you cook the rest, heat your over to 200°F and put the pancakes in the oven on cookie sheet lined with paper towels.
  • Do not keep flipping the pancakes back and forth. Only cook them once on each side. If you keep flipping the pancakes it will only make them tough.
  • To make the pancakes extra fun for kids, add a couple drops of food coloring before mixing in the colored sprinkles.
  • If you want to freeze the pancakes and eat them later, wrap them in aluminum foil or put them in a freezer bag after they have cooled. They will last for up to a month. To reheat them, just place them on a baking sheet, cover them with foil and heat them at 350°F for 10 minutes.
