How to Make Almost Stained Glass
Have you ever wanted to create beautiful stained glass? Well, this is your chance to make something just like it using glue and a few basic household items!
[edit] Steps
- Draw a few triangles onto the sheet of white paper and outline them with a thick marker.
- Use an Exacto knife to cut out all of the triangles.
- Trace the triangles onto the black foam poster and cut them out. You will need to press hard because the poster is thick.
- Place the wax paper on a piece of cardboard, put the poster onto the wax paper and tightly pin it down.
- Pour the Elmer's glue into a cup and add at least 3-4 drops of food coloring. Stir until you see only one color.
- Fill the triangles with colored glue, and leave overnight to dry.
- Congratulations, you're finished!
[edit] Tips
- You could add another layer of glue after the first one has dried, but if you add too much, the poster won't be transparent.
- For multi-colored triangles, separate the glue into smaller cups and add different food coloring to each one.
[edit] Warnings
- The more transparent the poster, the easier it will be to break.
- Be careful not to overfill the triangles with glue. If it seems too thin, add another layer of glue.
