Ever wanted to really believe that your teddy is real, like it's actually your pet? Well if you follow these few easy tips, you'll have a pretend-pet in no time.

Build-A-Bears work best, because you can buy many things (clothes, beds, etc.) for them so they feel more real. If you don't have a Build-A-Bear animal, then any stuffed animal will work, but you will have to make clothes for him/her and also a spot in your room to use as your "pet"'s little corner.
Take your pet to where ever you go, like sleepovers, a visit to StarBucks, etc. If you are going to a party, where some people who might make fun of your pet will be there, then put your pet into a big bag and hide him/her.
Hug and kiss your pet always before you go to bed, and sleep with your pet. Make pajamas for him/her, slippers, eye mask, etc.
Talk to your pet about your feelings, but don't tell him/her too many things because she/he will get stressful.
Always act as if your pet is a real pet.
Groom your pet with a soft brush and some sweet-smelling spray.
Name your pet!!! Name it a cute and easy name such as Valerie, Hollie, Tara, etc. Or name it something you like to eat: Cookie, Applepie, Bananasplit (Banana for short), Muffin, Creme Brulee, Chip(chocolatechip),CoCo, etc. Or something (color, shape, place) you love: Pinky, Rose, Midnight, Blackie, Blu (Blue), Tri or Trian (for triangle), Roundy (for round shape), Starbucks, DisWo (for DisneyWorld), etc. Or just name it some name you love.

Simply love your pet, hug her and act as if (s)he is alive.
Clothes and items for your pet add a lot of fun to your pet's life.
