This article will show you how to use a template to create articles with instructional images to the right of the steps. You should have already typed out your summary and steps in a text editor such as Notepad. Collect the images that will go along with the steps and associate each image with a step. See How to Put a Photo in a WikiHow for information on using images. Keep the images no wider that 700 pixels. Pick a relevant name to rename the image files (for example, I have used "template"). The image associated with Step 1 would be renamed template1.jpg, and so on. Put the image files in a convenient place (such as the desktop). 1 Edit this page and go to the very bottom. Put your cursor at the at the end of the text, left-click, and drag the mouse until you have highlighted all the lines ending with the line that says "summary." See the photo to the right. Right-click and select copy.	Click on image (1)
2 Open a new window and go to the main wikiHow page. Select Write Your Own How-To Article.	Click on image (2)
3 Put the title of your article in the "How to" box. Put one letter in the summary box.	Click on image (3)
4 Move to the bottom of the page and click show preview.	Click on image (4)
5 Delete the letter in the summary box and click on advanced editing.	Click on image (5)
6 Place the cursor in the advanced editing box. Right click and select paste.	Click on image (6)
7 Highlight the top line (the which says "summary" 8 times) and delete it. Start writing your summary or cut and paste it from your text file.	Click on image (7)
8 In a separate window, open your Notepad file and highlight the text for step 1.	Click on image (8)
9 In the line below the line with number "1" in it, highlight the fill-in line and right click. Select paste.	Click on image (9)
10 Highlight the fill-in line after "Image:" and type the relevant name of your image file. The number (1) and ".jpg" (the file extension) are already there.	Click on image (10)
11 Do this for each step. If a step has no associated image, delete the image tag (starting from the first "[" to the last "]").	Click on image (11)
12 If you don't need 13 steps, delete the steps you don't want. Don't delete the last \|} or <br><br>.	Click on image (12)
13 If you need more than 13 steps, highlight steps 12 & 13 and copy them to the line just above the \|} and paste them in.	Click on image (13)
14 Immediately change the step numbers to 14 and 15 , and change the image numbers to 14 and 15 in two places. Add two carriage returns (CR) after step 13 and add \|-.	Click on image (14)
15 Complete the Tips and Warnings.	Click on image (15)
