How to Give a Teddy Bear a Tea Party
Have you heard about giving a moose a muffin? Well, why not give a teddy bear and your friends a tea party?
[edit] Steps
- Write invitations for your Teddy's tea party. Make sure they are tasteful and include the date, time, RSVP, and location of the tea party. Mention bringing a teddy of their choice and wearing appropriate tea-time clothing (for bears and humans).
- Deliver your invitations through the mail or at school. Another option is call your friends and ask them if they would like to attend.
- Gather the materials from the Things You'll Need section below. Buy enough food and drink for the humans, as the teddy bears wont really consume anything.
- Set up early and lay out all the table settings and edibles on the day of the tea party. Place a box of tissues in the tea party room. Do not decorate your house as it is not a proper party, but do make sure it is clean and perhaps lay out a vase of fresh flowers.
- Wait at the door to greet your guests and take coats.
- Have the tea party. Afterwards, get everyone to introduce their teddy bears or have a light conversation.
- Compliment your guests when it's time for them to leave, as they leave the house
[edit] Tips
- These usually take place a few hours after noon and last an hour or two.
- Tea parties can be delightful if you dress up; suggestions include floppy hats with flowers, pastel dresses, gloves, pocketbooks, and ballet flats. Draw inspiration from the clothing worn by women in old England.
- Be organized- have everything prepared before your guests and their teddies arrive.
- Be polite and courteous- this will encourage them to come again. Also make sure you show them where the toilet is.
[edit] Warnings
- Ask your guests if they have any food allergies before you buy anything.
- If needed don't forget to get parental consent. Parents can often be quite helpful, and also and will probably fund and cook for your tea party.
