- Go to the store and buy tea leaves, lanterns, and moon cakes. You will need them during your celebration.
- Wait until night time. Call your family over and watch the moon.
- Watch the moon come out and watch it disappear into the clouds .
- Return home and let your family and you talk about the moon you
saw. Discuss how bright it was and how it looked like it was
disapearing into the clouds. Serve the moon cakes and brew
tea for you and your family to eat and drink. Put on the
lanterns and close all the lights in the house.
- Cut the moon cakes into fourths and get out some toothpicks. Use the toothpicks to eat the moon cakes.
- Draw or write about the moon. Talk about how it really sparkled and how round it was. Draw it half hidden in the clouds and how beautiful it was.

- Legend says it that a man who lived on the moon went down to earth, disguised as a old beggar. He came to where a rabbit, a fox, and monkey lived. He sayed he was very hungry. The fox and monkey found food easily, but the rabbit finally decided to cook himself so the beggar could eat him. That is why when you look at the moon very closely, you can see a dark rabbit on the moon.
