How to Drink a Chela

Chela is beer in spanish, and it is a popular Mexican drink next to Tequila and Coke, and it's available at most stores. Here's how to drink one the right way!

[edit] Steps

  1. Go to a Mexican store that has a supply of Chela cans. Most public Mexican stores sell entire boxes of Chela cans.
  2. After arriving at the destination, make your way to the Chelas area of the store (assuming you are at a store), and exchange the proper amount of currency for a can (or more if you are addicted to alcohol and enjoy certain Chelas more than you should).
  3. Open the Chela can by pulling the pin on top of the can up and towards the round indentation. The indentation should open and there should be a letting out of air. If there is not a letting out of air then the can is either very cold or has been opened previously somehow and hence spoiled the contents. Open it how you would open a soda can.
  4. Drink the contents by bringing the Chela can opening to your mouth and turning it vertically so that the liquid will drain in. If you wish to drink fast, take a deep breath beforehand so as to prepare for the time that your throat will be busy. Eventually, with practice, you will be able to drink multiple Chela cans with only one breath.

[edit] Tips

  • A good Chela to get would be Corona, Tecate, Pacifico, Sol, Modelo, something with a Mexican name. It doesn't have to be Mexican though.
  • Diet Chelas (Miller Light, Bud Light, anything with "light" or "diet") will get you drunk faster.
  • You could add a squeeze of lime and a pinch of salt, it tastes really, really good.

[edit] Warnings

  • Drink responsibly!
  • DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE
