How to Cope with a Loved One in a Coma

To sit next to an unconcious person is hard, especially if you love them, but there are ways to stay strong for them and believe me they will not want you to be sad.

[edit] Steps

  1. Grip their hand, this shows that, if they can still hear, you are there sitting next to them, and wishing them a recovery.
  2. Think about what will happen to them when they die and that they will be in a better place where they will not be suffering.
  3. Pray for their recovery, and at the same time, hope that their recovery will be a positive one, with their mental facilities all normal and working.
  4. Know they are in safe hands and that there is still a chance of survival.

[edit] Tips

  • Think positive, never think about anything negative.
  • Keep calm never panic because the person might still be able go hear you.
  • Keep talking to them.
