How to Cope with Low SAT Scores
When those SAT scores are putting a damper on your day, don't worry! Just remember, you are awesome still and perhaps a bit more time spent learning grammar and spelling is all you need.
[edit] Steps
- Limit the tears. It's not worth getting really depressed about. You would be better spending time assessing your options for where to head from here.
- Don't compare your scores to others. You will just end up being depressed and unsatisfied with your results. Your results reflect the effort and choices that you made, so they won't equate with other people's. Believe in your own abilities despite low scores.
- Try again if you don't want to miss out on college. Be proactive and get out there to find out about sitting them again or about getting into college through different avenues. Even accepting entrance to a college that doesn't thrill you as much may still give the option of switching to another one later. Remember that there are always options.
