How to Convince People That You're Pregnant when You're Not
Ever thought of how it would be to see people's reactions when you tell them you're having a baby? Most people have, but it's hard to convince someone that you're pregnant when you're not, especially when you're younger. Read on to find out how to get people to believe you.
[edit] Steps
- Make sure that you're at least old or young enough to get pregnant. This is usually from 10 at the earliest age to around your 50s at the oldest age.
- Make sure you have a boyfriend, because you don't want to say you don't know who the father is or why you got pregnant. If you don't have a boyfriend, act like you do, but act like the person you're telling doesn't know who he is. You can say he's from another school or if you're older you can say he's someone you work with. If you do have a boyfriend, tell him about the prank so he doesn't deny the rumor when people ask him about it.
- Decide how long you want to have them think you're pregnant. This can be for a day, a few minutes, or a few months.
- When it comes to the time where you deliver the news, consider your age. If you're in your teens, it may be easier to say the pregnancy was accidental. If you're older, you can be happy about it, but it's probably more fun to say it was accidental. It just creates more funny, fake drama.
- If your fake pregnancy is supposed to be accidental:: The day you supposedly find out you're pregnant, act depressed. Practice a worried/sad look on your face in the mirror and put that face on during the day. Avoid talking to everyone except for your best friends. Rub and look at your belly a lot like you're going to cry. Wait until everyone around you is fairly quiet, but you're talking to someone. Then if they ask you why you're depressed, look away for a moment, then look them straight in the eye (to tell them you're not lying) and say, "Wanna know why?" Then have a silence and take a deep breath as you say in a louder voice, "I'm pregnant." Then fake a breakdown. Shake your head and hide your face with your hands. Then after a minute or so, put your head up and prepare for questions like "Oh my gosh, who's the dad? When did you find out?" and answer convincingly. If they think you're lying, get all defensive and scream at them. Make a scene.
- If your fake pregnancy is supposed to be planned: The day you supposedly find out you're pregnant, act really happy. Smile and laugh a lot, be talkative, and enjoy yourself. Rub your belly and look at it a lot. Just don't overdo it. Wait until everyone in the room is fairly quiet and you're talking to someone. Then when you go into one of those awkward silences or you run out of things to talk about, say something like, "Oh my gosh, I have something to tell you! Ready?" and wait until they say yes. Then act all excited and yell, "I'm pregnant!" Then prepare for a load of questions like "Who's the father? When did you find out?" and answer them convincingly. If they don't believe you, don't get too defensive. Just still act surprised and say, "I'm serious!" and act really happy.
- After a few months, gradually make your bump bigger by putting things underneath your shirt. Just make sure they will not slide out throughout the day.
[edit] Tips
- If you forget what you say, write down your fake story as soon as you tell it to people such as when you got pregnant, when you'll tell them the truth, who got you pregnant, etc. This way, you won't tell someone two different stories.
- Learn how to act believable. Get into character!
- If you go too long with the rumor, it may be hard to get everyone to find out that you're not really pregnant.
[edit] Warnings
- You really have to have a good story in order for people to believe you.
- If you're still in school, people may make fun of you or call you a slut.
- When you break the news that you're not pregnant, a lot of people may get angry.
