How to Celebrate Winning a School Election
The votes have been casted, and the results are in! You are now a school president! So, how are you going to celebrate your victory? Please continue reading for some information on this topic.
[edit] Steps
- Congratulate the candidates who ran against you. Let them know you thought they were tough competition, and you hope to bring some of their ideas into action. Try not to brag, tease, or mock them since you won and they didn't. It will look extremely bad on your part if you were to do this.
- Hand out candy or small gifts to your school. Show them that their voting really was appreciated! Stand in the middle of a busy hallway, offering your small presents to anyone who would like one. Remember to try and give some to the principal, secretary, etc.
- Make a victory speech. Ask the principal if you could gather the student body for an assembly. Announce how much you appreciate this honor, what you plan to do for this school now that you are elected, etc. Try not to make this speech too long, though. If it is on the longer side, add a little humor so you won't bore the audience out of their minds.
- Throw a special party or event for the school. Make sure it's during a time when you know most people aren't busy so more people will be able to attend. Try to have a lot of food, games, and entertainment at this event to make your schoolmates happy. Play music or get a live band if possible. However, do not go beyond the school budget- it would be an awful way to start your victory off.
[edit] Tips
- Remember to take down all of the posters you hung up during the election. This will make you look responsible, and people will be able to stop looking at a big "Vote for me!" sign after the voting already happened.
[edit] Warnings
- Don't do anything dangerous when you are celebrating. Bringing drugs and alcohol won't make your celebration any better. Also, don't promise to jump off a cliff or anything stupid that would be putting your life in danger.
