Some suggestions to assist you in caring for your gun dog or bird dog.

[edit] Steps

  1. Groom your dog. If you have a long haired breed get a matt comb, long comb, and some scissors to trim hairs. If you have short hair breed you need to get a grooming glove and scissors also.
  2. Attend events with your dog. Sign up with a club or group that hunts or you can hunt alone
  3. Play games. If your dog is a retriever, try this game. Get a slingshot and shoot a tennis ball at a wall. If your dog is a pointer or flushes birds, play hide and seek. Take some treats and hide them in easy places (on a couch on a shoe or some place low to the ground), then make it gradually harder, like on top of table.
