How to Air Out Your Car While Driving
Sometimes it is hard get a smell out of a car by merely opening the windows. Such lingering smells include but aren't limited to fast food, flatulence, or cigarette smoke.
[edit] Steps
- Open both passenger and driver side windows all the way down.
- Drive at about 5 mph forward.
- Make a sharp 90 degree turn to the right or to the left.
- Understand that the air in the car will continue moving forward whereas the car will now be traveling perpendicular to the air, causing the air to exit out the windows.
[edit] Tips
- This works especially well when you don't have a lot of room build up speed, such as in a parking lot or garage.
- Your vehicle does not have to be moving quickly for this to work.
[edit] Warnings
- Watch for traffic and pedestrians before attempting this!
- If you drive a top heavy vehicle, such as a SUV, be careful not to drive too fast when you turn because you could roll over.
